Aren and Toa endured the grueling labor of the Trebian Empire's mines for a decade. Aren longed to flee the mines with his twin sister, but their escape plan never came to fruition. Sadly, Toa took her own life, leaving Aren with no will to live. As he contemplated suicide, a mysterious figure named 'Deed' offered him a chance to revive Toa in exchange for a contract.
