Shirou, an innocent scholar, harbors romantic feelings for his instructor Oka. Meanwhile, Masami regards Shirou as a sibling, until their mutual friend Ryuuji inquires about Masami's sentiments for Shirou. Ryuuji is genuinely enamored with Masami, but pretends to be smitten with Shirou in order to attract Masami's notice. Ultimately, Masami and Ryuuji make a pact, whereby neither of them will seek out Shirou romantically. As an alternative, Ryuuji advises Masami to satisfy his physical desires instead of pursuing Shirou.
