Yunosuke Shiga takes great pride in his Japanese heritage and is enamored with the country's extensive history, customs, and culture. Yet, his elation is abruptly cut short when his bosses demand that he become proficient in English within three months or face the consequences. As Yunosuke's grasp of the language is weak, he is directed to attend the prestigious Shiratori Language Academy (SLA) in Japan, which is notorious for its rigorous academic curriculum and diverse foreign instructors.
Despite his intense devotion to Japan, Yunosuke is woefully unprepared for the cultural disorientation, demanding coursework, and an unexpected romantic infatuation that unfolds before him. This love interest was the last thing he anticipated after having never gone beyond the borders of Japan.
