Sachi Mukai is plagued by bad luck. Constantly experiencing stubbed toes, lost possessions, and even bird droppings, she can't seem to catch a break. However, her most significant challenge is the presence of Gokurakuin Misako. Misako is an unusual, beautiful honors student and the sole member of the mysterious Occult Research Society. Misako finds Sachi's "power" intriguing and craves the strange and inexplicable occurrences that she experiences. Unfortunately for Sachi, she holds no interest in the occult, leaving Misako's attempts to lure her into the society as yet another unfortunate stroke of bad luck.
