Udagawa Gosuke, the protagonist, inherited his father's dojo after his father and elder brother were forced to commit hara-kiri. As a second son, it was not expected that he would inherit the dojo. This tragic event left him with a lack of self-confidence, causing him to practice fencing daily at a nearby dojo. Unfortunately, the people at the dojo were unkind to him, leading him to create a new dojo and style of fencing for those who simply enjoy it.
What sets this shounen apart is that the male and female leads are married, albeit at a very young age of 15. The female lead, Udagawa Shino, is Gosuke's senpai's younger sister and is quite peculiar. She has a strange obsession with rabbits and even makes rabbit masks as a source of income. When Gosuke creates his new dojo, he introduces a unique style of swordsmanship called "Rabbit style fencing."
