The story centers on Maquia, who hails from a peculiar family that ceases to age beyond their teenage years. Although she leads a peaceful existence, the absence of her parents makes her feel immensely lonely. However, tranquility vanishes when an aggressive army invades her tribe, intent on unraveling the origins of immortality. During the invasion, the enemy abducts Leilia, the most captivating girl in their community, and Maquia's admirer disappears. Despite her escape, Maquia loses her home and companions. Eventually, she encounters Erial, a vulnerable young boy whose caretakers suffered a similar fate as her own. Over time, the story depicts the growth of their bond as Erial matures while Maquia remains eternally youthful.
