Subaru Kashino meets Kei Natsume, a member of the library committee, at a rural high school sports training camp. Intrigued by Kei's frequent visits to the library, Subaru develops a fascination for him. He has an intense dream about Kei, which leaves him feeling sexually charged. As Subaru prepares to return to Tokyo, Kei proposes they keep in touch through letters, instead of phone calls. Although initially confused, Subaru is curious about the idea and agrees to exchange letters with Kei.
