Three decades ago, the Jade tribe lost the great war against Kokuyou, resulting in their enslavement. Presently, the emperor has organized a gladiator competition called "Shaba Juu Rengoku". The winner of this competition will be crowned the "Shaba-ou", the emperor. One of the prominent participants in this tournament is a one-eyed swordsman, who was once a slave. The plot revolves around his journey to seize the throne and claim the title of emperor.
