Kousei Arima, a young pianist, receives his first invitation to perform in front of a live audience. Excited about the opportunity, he invites his two best friends, Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari, along with Tsubaki's grandmother, to attend. However, as Kousei focuses on his practice, Tsubaki's grandmother passes away. In search of a way to bring her back, Tsubaki embarks on a sudden journey in search of the Seed of Life.
