Atsuya is a devoted "Unrequited Love Maniac" whose life is chronicled in an ongoing series. The series includes a prequel titled Hatsukoi Moratorium inside Shotgun Marriage, as well as eight volumes. In each volume, Atsuya navigates his relationships with the loves of his life in different ways. Volume one is titled Shitsuren Mania (Unrequited Love Maniac), while volume two explores Atsuya's struggle with an allergy to pure love in Junai Allergy. The third volume, Netsuai Complex (Ardent Love Complex), delves into the complexities of Atsuya's passionate love, and volume four, Dekiai Egoism (Enraptured Love), explores his enraptured love. In Katsuai Catharsis (Catharsis of the Love), the fifth volume, Atsuya finds catharsis through his love. The sixth volume, Saiai Ambivalent (The Dearest is Ambivalent), sees Atsuya navigating his ambivalent feelings with the one he holds dearest. In volume seven, Atsuya experiences a honeymoon melancholy in Mitsugetsu Melancholy, while the final volume, Tooi Dearest (Long Distant Love Just Now), follows Atsuya's long distant love.
