At the age of four, Aoko's town was hit by a meteorite causing rain for twenty consecutive days resulting in the creation of the Twenty Day Lake. Presently, after twenty years, Aoko has no recollection of the fateful day or her past life in the town. As a result, she ventures deep into the lake, determined to retrieve the elusive memories that refuse to fade away.
