Minoru's family is considering moving to Las Vegas so that her father can have one last chance to pursue his fighting career. Though Minoru has only just started high school, the thought of leaving Japan without any compelling reason to stay fills her with sadness. As she spirals into despair, she follows a fellow student to an arcade, where she becomes engrossed in a fighting game. Her new acquaintance, Shijou, reveals that her dream is to become a pro gamer and, after recognizing Minoru's potential, invites her to partner up.
