Set in a charming town nestled in the mountains, the story centers on Aoi Aioi, a music-loving sophomore in high school. Her sister, Akane Aioi, and Shinnosuke Kanomura, Akane's former flame and a struggling guitarist, also feature prominently in the plot. Shinno, on the other hand, is revealed to be Shinnosuke from 13 years before, who has traveled through time to the present. Tragically, Aoi and Akane's parents died in an accident a decade ago, causing Akane to sacrifice her desire to relocate to Tokyo with Shinnosuke in order to care for Aoi. Since then, Aoi has felt a deep sense of indebtedness to her elder sister. Dankichi, a well-known enka singer, invites Aoi to perform as a session musician at a music festival one day. Around the same time, Shinnosuke makes a return to his old haunts, and suddenly, Shinno appears, causing Aoi to experience the magic of falling in love for the first time.
