Sano is an innocent high school student who yearns for popularity among the opposite sex. One day, he unexpectedly encounters the attractive and fashionable Fujita, a college student whom he regards as his "mentor." When they unexpectedly cross paths again in town, Sano notices that Fujita's eyes are puffy from a recent break-up.
