Kim Jiho's source of income involves pickpocketing on the streets. Following a physical assault by the proprietor of his living quarters, he finds himself wandering aimlessly with no destination in mind. Hopelessness seizes him, and he sits in front of a car while a fleeting thought crosses his mind: "If I were to perish here, it would be best if the car were valuable." His particular musings result in an expensive car halting precisely in front of him, and the driver asks him if he'd like to come along if he has nowhere else to go. Kim Jiho, believing that even kindness has a price, agrees and accompanies the driver. However, the driver never requests anything from Kim Jiho after giving him a ride.
