Possibly the first shonen-ai manga and featuring the earliest known male-male kiss in shoujo manga, Takemiya's short story "In the Sunroom" was published in December of 1970 in Bessatsu Shojo Comic. The manga volume includes five shorter stories titled "In the Sunroom" (1970), "The Laughing Boy" (1972), "20 Days and Nights" (1973), "Star!" (1974), and "The Mr.'s Baby Bird" (1975).
