Seita Okusu had harbored a strong affection for Kiyosawa, much like the protagonists in the shoujo manga he followed. He yearned for a fiery and intense love with him, but his hopes were dashed by Amane's constant presence. Seita believed that Amane, too, was interested in Kiyosawa and designated him a rival. However, Seita's romantic fantasy with Kiyosawa collapsed when he discovered that he had a girlfriend, leaving him devastated. To find comfort, Seita turned to taking care of the garden that Kiyosawa had once nurtured diligently. His peace was interrupted when he stumbled upon Amane, working to restore the dying plants. Moved by Amane's grief over Kiyosawa, Seita convinced him to help with the garden's upkeep. Though they worked well together, Seita began to question whether Amane truly suffered as he had claimed.
