Kanata Hjuger is a youthful, visionary individual who was raised in the rustic village of Dalchia, possessing a degree of naivety. His father founded the village orphanage, which commanded Kanata's adoration for its efforts in providing shelter for orphans from various regions. Nonetheless, Kanata's perception of his father was shattered when he happened upon his father and his orphaned companion, Misella, in a room, entirely alone. The orphanage concealed a sinister secret: children were sold off as slaves instead of being rehomed, and Misella would be their next victim. In a rage, Kanata committed murder and was quickly plagued with remorse. The villagers soon uncovered Kanata's nefarious deed, and they demanded justice. However, Kanata had no intentions of facing the consequences and chose to flee instead.
