The three sisters, Satoru, Hikari, and Ogami, are the daughters of a Buddhist priest. Despite being raised under their father's teachings, they each have their own distinct perspectives on life at the temple. Satoru, the eldest, doesn't necessarily oppose the idea, but she is driven to become a doctor and has chosen to focus on her studies at medical school. Ogami, the youngest sister, despises the temple and has even gone so far as to transfer to a school far away in order to distance herself from her family's traditions. Meanwhile, Hikari, the middle sister, finds great joy in the temple experience and is expected to carry on her father's legacy since neither of her siblings have any interest in doing so.
