Initially considering jumping off a cliff, Aika Asakura ends up rescuing a cat in distress. This leads her to cross paths with Hotoka Houshido, a skilled veterinarian who lent a hand to nurse the feline back to health. As it turned out, Aika's heroic act had caused her to become indebted to Hotoka, who subsequently offered her employment and lodging in his company.
