An anime adaptation of the manhwa, based on Taeseon's novel "The Owner of the Divine Dragon," was scheduled for release in Japan in 2015. However, the anime was ultimately cancelled.
The webtoon "The Dragon Master" (Japanese: "The Owner of the Divine Dragon," shounen, magical academy, 2014) is based on Taeseon's 2011 novel "The Owner of the Divine Dragon" (Korean: "The Owner of the Divine Dragon," josei, apocalypse). The novel's protagonist, Shine "Shan" Altelion, is regarded as the most beautiful person on the planet Atreia, with a "harem" of almost all heterosexual guys on the planet. Despite this, Shan is an asexual boy who prefers to be seen as masculine and becomes angry when confused with a girl.
In the Korean webtoon, profiles of some characters are provided in chapters 31-44, with their Korean and English names listed. Reiner, Shan's mother, wanted a daughter and thus named him Shine, but his friends call him by the masculine name Shan. The English unofficial translation incorrectly listed the characters' names as Shine Alterion, Tis Iscar, Yulketh Lanskaine, Chrome Mirehart, among others.
