This is a story based on the eponymous novel. After the demise of his father, Joo Hawon is left with a sky-high debt in the foreign soil of Macau. Struggling to make ends meet working as a casino dealer, Hawon has lost all hope for his future. One day, a stranger named Kwon Taeha approaches him with a proposal.
“How about some fun?” says Taeha.
Hawon agrees, thinking that they will be spending time doing something frivolous and light-hearted. However, Taeha's intentions are darker as he brings up Hawon's legacy and father's past, which Hawon has been oblivious to his entire life.
Hawon is presented with an offer by the stranger, who claims that he can rid him of his debts. Despite having no other option, Hawon steps into the arrangement. Being alone with Taeha reveals a different side to him, which Hawon finds irritating but eventually gets affected as he's drawn towards the man who extended a benevolent hand to him for no apparent reason.
