Despite her unwavering diligence, college student Makoto Yoshino encountered obstacles in obtaining a job offer. She endured several unsuccessful interviews over the course of several months. However, her destiny shifted when she tumbled down a set of stairs while hurrying to another interview and unearthed herself in a mystical realm. Whilst scrambling to find a way back to her own world, she stumbled upon a haven for disenfranchised children and landed her inaugural employment role as a caregiver for an assortment of youngsters of varying races and species.
