Many moons ago, there was an emperor who inexplicably declared that all members of his court must die. Nevertheless, his bloodlust was eventually quenched when he was presented with a young girl named Aehwa. The ruler has since grown fond of his “flower” and strives to keep her close. When Aehwa reveals her passion for music, the Emperor assigns Harang Kang to be her personal court musician. Nevertheless, the ruler dictates that only he may gaze upon Aehwa and so he has Harang’s eyes removed. Upon discovering the true reason for his father’s demise, Harang vows to exact revenge on both Aehwa and the Emperor. In this convoluted world of deceit and beauty, who will triumph?
