Due to her mother's gambling addiction and mounting debts, Minako Nishiwaki faces financial hardships. To resolve her latest outstanding balance, Minako becomes a live-in tutor for Naoki, the undisciplined child of a wealthy family. Although Naoki is in his final year of high school, his academic standing is below average. Minako hopes to help him gain admission to a college, so his family offers her compensation to alleviate her debt. However, encouraging Naoki proves to be an extremely daunting task.
