In seventeenth-century Japan, a rebellion in the Aizu territory was violently suppressed, resulting in the deaths of twenty-one courageous warriors and the brutal slaying of several nuns from a nearby convent. Vowing to avenge their fallen sisters and comrades, the remaining nuns have enlisted the aid of the most renowned swordsman in the region to teach them the deadly skills necessary to exact justice upon those responsible for the massacre.
