Ibuki Shin was renowned for her remarkable pitching skills in her previous school, which was well-known for its sports program. On the other hand, Kinomoto Yutsuki, a student from an ordinary school, was recognized for her exceptional talent as a batter. The two young stars ended up attending the same high school, but Shin made the tough decision to quit the softball team because of her unrequited feelings for Yutsuki. Meanwhile, Yutsuki was oblivious to Shin's emotions and refused to join the softball team without her.
