Living his life in the shadows, Souya Utsugi shied away from attention and always followed rules, making sure to be a conscientious citizen. One cause that he was particularly passionate about was preserving the environment, going so far as to risk being late for school to properly dispose of trash. However, his dedication to this cause was disrupted when he found his carefully sorted garbage tampered with on his way back from school. Determined to catch the culprit, Souya was shocked to discover that it was his new neighbor and schoolmate, Tokisaka Koyomi, who confessed that she had come from the future to prevent pro-environmental action. Together, Souya and Tokisaka must work to save the future by destroying the environment - a seemingly contradictory and unlikely partnership forged to protect what matters most.
