After her boyfriend Yuu heroically saved her from an oncoming car only to tragically die in front of her, Hamisaki Aya's life has come to a standstill. She finds it almost impossible to attend school or connect with her loved ones. During one of her counseling sessions at the hospital, Aya finds herself trapped in an elevator with Nagisawa Nayu, a young girl who hasn't spoken since her family was killed in the devastating Kobe earthquake. Nayu's only remaining family member is her cousin Nagisawa Issei, who happens to be a medical student working in the same hospital that Aya is undergoing treatment. As the story unfolds, these three individuals, who have all suffered tremendous losses due to horrific accidents, learn how to move forward and start living their lives once more.
