The Ichinose household is comprised of three sisters with distinct personalities. Hinano, the eldest, possesses beauty, affability, and a laid-back attitude, but lacks tidiness and motivation. Ichino, the middle sister, is strict and prone to outbursts, yet compensates with her industriousness in doing household chores and cooking. The youngest, Satsukino, is a charming animal lover aspiring to become a veterinarian. Despite their differences, they cohabit with their abusive and apathetic mother.
One fateful day, Satsukino befriends a large and chubby feline that can speak. With their persistent persuasion, their mother reluctantly agrees to adopt the cat, who is promptly named Tonnura-san. But who exactly is this enigmatic cat? And what changes will its arrival bring to the lives of the Ichinose sisters?
