In Japan, the night life industry, also known as Mizushoubai or "water business", encompasses various forms of entertainment, including fuuzoku (commonly referred to as prostitution, but without the illegal aspects), hosting and managing at bars, and nightclubs such as kyabakura.
Recently, a new high school was established in Tokyo's Shinjuku ward to provide education to young individuals who were previously without guidance in this industry. The School of Water Business, known as "Mizushou", is the first of its kind.
This story is told from the perspective of a teacher named Tanabe Keisuke who was transferred to Mizushou to help educate its inaugural class of students.
