As their village faces a grave danger of contaminated water, Genjou embarks on a mission to the capital seeking a cure, leaving Kaka behind. However, during his absence, the peaceful village is attacked by demons who turn the villagers under Kaka's protection into primates.
Desperately searching for Genjou, Kaka discovers that a powerful spirit has taken over his body. Shockingly, the human Emperor has been replaced by the Demon King, and the spirit has returned to restore order. The proposition is simple - if Kaka accompanies the spirit on his journey to the capital and all goes as planned, he will release Genjou's body and retrieve his soul from the underworld.
