When 28-year-old otaku Suzuki Tsukako seeks out a marriage counseling office, she is met by a counselor who happens to be a shinigami. The shinigami forces her to sign a contract and warns that if she doesn't get married within a year, she will die. However, Suzuki's self-centered personality, lack of dating experience, and excessive confidence in easily finding her soulmate greatly diminish her chances of success - rated only at 0.03% by the system. Despite the dismal odds, she accepts the challenge, driven by her desire to stay alive and witness the future of her beloved 2D idol group.
