According to local legend, a white monster materializes at nightfall and is said to consume anyone who catches a glimpse of it. Tetsu catches sight of the figure behind the myth and believes the man, known only as the swordmaster Shino, can teach him how to seek revenge. Unfortunately, Shino has no interest in accepting pupils. Tetsu must figure out a way to persuade Shino to become his sensei, while also exploring the past events that shaped Shino's current disposition.
