Kamimizo, a student in high school, has ears that resemble those of an animal. They are not visible to others, but they grant her a unique ability - the ability to hear other people's heartbeats. Heart rate can increase due to a variety of reasons, such as exercise, surprise, and of course, being in love. Kamimizo, as a consequence, is forced to listen to the excitement of love every day at school. However, her heart races at the mere thought of her childhood friend, Samukawa. Despite this fact, it wasn't Kamimizo's heart that first skipped a beat.
