Kaede Tachibana, a salaryman lacking self-confidence, experiences a heartbreak when his partner ends their relationship. Despite his sister's efforts to cheer him up by taking him to a host club, Kaede drowns himself in alcohol due to his depression. In his drunken state, the owner of the club, Tsunayoshi, appears and Kaede spills his emotions to him. Before losing consciousness, Tsunayoshi offers to assist him. Kaede wakes up perplexed, finding himself naked in an unfamiliar bed.
