Jiang Peng, a prison guard, was temporarily dismissed without salary after a search conducted in the prison revealed he was in possession of a pornographic magazine. Regrettably, a prisoner committed suicide shortly afterwards. Nonetheless, the magazine was found to have not only inappropriate images but also a notebook that had unknown criminal records. Using this finding to his advantage, Jiang Peng initiated individual probes into each case.
