The hanok café ‘Horonggak’ is actually a shelter for transcendent beings. Mago, a grandmother who cared for these beings on Jeju Island, is persuaded by owner Yeomra to operate a shelter disguised as a cafe in Seoul. Together with his companions Woojin and Jacheongbi, Mago protects transcendent beings, many of whom have the appearance of animals. While Mago finds satisfaction in this task, Yeomra has more sinister plans to use transcendent beings to cause chaos among humans, until her own feelings are challenged by a human girl. The story unfolds around the Horonggak cafe, where ephemeral and eternal beings intertwine in a complex plot.
