Upon returning to school after the summer break, noticeable changes in individuals may be observed. One such change is seen in Yuzuki, Ichigo's closest confidant, now identifying as male. This comes as a source of confusion and bewilderment for Ichigo, who struggles to understand the motive behind Yuzuki's transformation. In the meantime, Yuzuki has to face harsh criticism and occasional cruelty, which is a consequence of being different. Despite the difficulties, both friends are positive about confronting this situation.
