Hitomu, a young man without direction, settles into a monotonous routine of going to work, returning home, sleeping, and starting over again. However, his unremarkable existence is turned upside down when he is kidnapped by a deity and forced into a gladiatorial contest to locate the weakest being in all of time and space! Despite numerous defeats, Hitomu finds himself facing off against four weak opponents in a lethal confrontation... yet he manages to break free, together with his fellow "losers": a ghostly boy, a gelatinous girl, a useless robot, and an insect-like creature. Stranded on a perilous planet, the quintet of misfits joins forces in order to survive. Alone, they are powerless, but united they have a shot.
