Taking place in the 1500s, this brutal historical fiction piece was one of Go Nagai's earlier works and follows the story of Shishimaru, an adept but low-ranking ninja. His mission becomes revenge after his comrades were indiscriminately butchered by Ginnai Doma, an immortal samurai who never seems to die no matter how many times he is supposedly murdered.
