As a young intern, Eijirou Saito discovers the harsh realities of the medical field when he asks the simple question, "What is a doctor?" Despite graduating from the prestigious Eiroku University hospital, his dreams of putting patients first are shattered by the grueling work hours and meager pay of less than $500 a month. Three months into his career, he faces the intricate web of conflicting interests and contradictions that plague the medical system.
