In 2205, the “Historical Revisionists” have launched an attack on the past. To preserve history, the Time Government dispatched “Saniwa” to the past, awakening the tsukumogami living in swords, known as “Touken Danshi”. These warriors plunge themselves into battle to protect history. The Saniwa orders a new mission, sending a team led by Kashuu Kiyomitsu along with Mikazuki Munechika, Kogitsunemaru, Ishikirimaru, Iwatooshi and Imanotsurugi to travel back in time to the fifth year of the Bunji era. They are sent to defend the battlefield at Oushuu Hiraizumi: Atsukashiyama.
