In a foreign land, a lone mercenary reluctantly engages in a street brawl when a gun-wielding man sporting a fur coat fights by his side. After coming out victorious, the fur-wearing man demands the mercenary become his personal guard.
However, the mercenary soon discovers that his new employer is actually the King, who suffers from frequent assassination attempts and treats his bodyguard with disdain. As the mercenary adapts to life in the palace, he makes it his mission to understand the King's odd behavior and reasons for it.
Yet, protecting the King proves to be a challenge as he refuses assistance. Despite this, the mercenary is determined to find a way to guard the King successfully.
