After getting involved in a street brawl, a foreign mercenary finds himself fighting side by side with a man draped in a fur. When they both emerge without a scratch, the man demands that the mercenary becomes his protector. It's only later that the mercenary realizes that he's taken on the responsibility of guarding the King, who faces regular assassination attempts and has no respect for his bodyguard.
