Kenni, a fresh-faced ensign in the Earth Federation embarking on his first mission with his father, and Rena Lanford, a young girl residing in the rural village of Arlia on the planet Expel. The anime series, Star Ocean EX, which retells the game's narrative, is rooted in this manga. Unfortunately, the manga remains inaccessible in English and can only be found in Japanese.
